Considering the events of the last 18 months, AMB Co. Ltd have emerged relatively unscathed in terms of both performance and indeed people, with bright ambitions for the future.
In fact, the Sheffield-based company is in a great position to grow the company over the coming months and years, having recently employed a new Business Development Manager, Andrew Wellwood.
Speaking with Andrew about the company’s future plans for success, he says that “We’re a family-owned company steeped in history and it’s that ethos, that togetherness that has seen the company through the past 18 months. That said, we have big ambitions to grow the business and our key sectors include Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defence, Power Generation, Steel production and Aerospace. As these sectors start heading towards pre-pandemic levels, we’ve given ourselves a great platform for growth and it’s our continued investment in technology but more importantly, our people, that gives us all here at AMB Co. the desire to drive the company towards success.
Digital Marketing is in focus at the moment - We’re in the process of revamping the company website and we’ve recently joined LinkedIn, sharing our first post just last week which highlights what we’re all about! There will continue to be plenty of engagement on there, so give us a follow.”

The company are also in the midst of revamping their sales and marketing literature, with brochures to be completed very soon.
But the growth and progress doesn’t stop there as AMB Co. Ltd have also recently attained BAE Approved procedure status for deposition of Alloy 306 using PAW & GTAW processes; as well as being in the process of joining the BVAA and we’ve applied for Fit 4 Nuclear status/membership.
Ultimately, things are looking bright for AMB, who are excited to network amongst fellow supporters of Yorkshire industry at the upcoming “Backing Britain 3.0 Taster Event” for Made in Yorkshire members on Thursday 5th August. Held at the Malmaison in Leeds, this event will give MIY members the first chance to network in person since the start of the pandemic.
