Whilst it’s been a challenging couple of years for many businesses, there’s definite light at the end of the tunnel and AMB Co. Ltd are forging ahead with their plans for a post-pandemic world.

The Sheffield-based engineering company has been heavily involved in a number of important projects in the run-up to the festive period and are keen to make the most of a year full of opportunity and potential.

Business Development Manager, Andrew Wellwood is excited about their future plans.  “One of the stand-out ingredients here at AMB Co. Ltd is our collective attitude; everyone pulling in the same direction and bristling with positive energy.  It’s that energy driving us forward and that will get us to where we want to be.  Speaking to a number of our customers and suppliers, there seems to be a real optimism about the pump/valve sector and UK manufacturing in general, and we want to be on the front foot as we all emerge from a challenging couple of years.

As part of our ongoing drive to achieve excellence, we recognised that the marketing side of the business needed attention, in particular our digital footprint, and in the past couple of months we’ve launched our brand new company website and increased engagement on our socials with regular updates and ‘Meet The Team’ features.  We also have a fresh new-look company brochure and we’ve revamped our branded items inventory.  This may all seem inconsequential, but it’s minor improvements like these that will help us on the way to achieving our goals.”

Continuing with the positive news. “We were really proud to receive a ‘Manufacturing Hero’ award just before Christmas for our work throughout the pandemic and we’re delighted to announce that we’ve just purchased a new Magnum LS centre lathe, due to be installed in March/April.  Most of our machining centres are CNC, but due to the complexities in some of the projects we’re involved in, there’s still very much an appetite for manual equipment and this investment will only enhance our capabilities.”

“We’re still expecting this year to be a challenge, yet see it as an important step forward as we aim for ‘back to normal’.  Indeed, we’re currently busy working on future projects, planning customer visits, business trips and exhibitions throughout the year.”

“Once again, we’re going to be involved in a few charity events this year which will be announced shortly, so it’s worth following us on here for further information, and of course our LinkedIn page [here].”
